Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.

Optional: inspect rooms and rates at JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 8.1/10

Come for the resort activities, not flawless luxury or guaranteed quiet. A sprawling upscale golf-and-spa resort with a busy convention side, scored for what it is.

This sprawling upscale Palm Desert resort is a strong pick if you’ll use its golf, tennis, pools and spa rather than simply sleep here. Landscaped waterways, boat rides and plentiful dining give it genuine resort appeal. Expedia and Booking.com guests generally praise comfortable rooms, attractive grounds and helpful staff; overall feedback is positive, though Tripadvisor is noticeably more mixed.

The trade-off is luxury that isn’t consistently polished. Recent reviews flag uneven housekeeping and maintenance, slow restaurant service and noise around the atrium during busy periods. Mandatory resort fees and separate parking charges also weaken value if you won’t use the activities. An October 2026 Expedia guest reported some pools closed, so confirm availability before a pool-focused trip. We’d choose it for active families and golfers, but skip it for an intimate, reliably quiet escape.

Best for: Active families; Golf and tennis getaways; Travelers who enjoy staying on-property
Watch out for: Atrium noise and convention crowds; Mandatory resort fee plus paid parking; Confirm which pools are open
Location: A self-contained Palm Desert base; a car is useful for exploring beyond the resort.
Rooms: Comfortable balcony rooms, but condition varies; request distance from atrium activity if quiet matters.
Cleanliness: Strong aggregate cleanliness scores, tempered by several recent reports of missed cleaning details.
Service: Staff receive substantial praise, although restaurant speed and problem handling are less consistent.
Amenities: Extensive golf, racquet sports, pools and spa; spa-pool access is separate from ordinary pool access.
Fees and surprises: Daily resort fee and separate parking charges; an October 2026 guest reported partial pool closures.
