Marriott Savannah Riverfront is a large, full-service 4-star hotel at the eastern end of River Street. It’s a strong pick for travelers who want waterfront walks and familiar comforts rather than boutique character. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, comfortable beds and clean rooms. A river-view room gives the stay its main distinction: watching cargo ships pass close by.

The trade-offs are the big-hotel atmosphere, some reports of tired finishes, and atrium noise that can carry into rooms at night. Parking and breakfast cost extra, so this isn’t an especially compelling choice if you won’t use the waterfront setting. The hotel confirms a seasonal outdoor pool—not an indoor one—plus a spa and gym. We’d skip it for an intimate historic stay; light sleepers should request a room away from atrium activity.
