Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong business-and-shopping base, with standout staff and some uneven luxury details. a five-star business hotel above BlueMall in Piantini, scored for what it is.

This five-star city hotel above BlueMall is a strong pick for business trips and shopping-focused stays. Its appeal is practical luxury: spacious rooms, city views and restaurants close at hand. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the attentive staff and breakfast, while Booking.com guests highlight comfort and easy mall access. Cleanliness also earns strong marks overall.

The trade-off is that luxury polish isn't entirely consistent: some 2025–2026 guests report deferred maintenance or missing room amenities, although most feedback remains positive. Check the infinity pool before booking: Marriott still displays a closure notice dated January 2024, despite an August 2026 guest describing using it. We'd choose it for Piantini convenience, but skip it if walking straight into the Colonial Zone is the priority.

• Best for: business travelers; shopping-focused city breaks; couples who prefer Piantini

• Watch out for: Confirm infinity-pool availability; Some reports of maintenance lapses; Not a Colonial Zone walking base

• Location: Direct BlueMall access is the draw; better for Piantini business and dining than historic sightseeing.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable, with occasional reports of worn fixtures and missing luxury extras.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback; Expedia and Booking.com cleanliness scores support the positive pattern.

• Service: Warm, helpful staff are the most consistent strength across guest-review sites.

• Amenities: Rooftop bar, dining and Gold's Gym access in BlueMall; conflicting pool information warrants checking.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and breakfast may cost extra; confirm inclusions and the unresolved pool-closure notice.
