Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong pick for comfort and helpful service, rather than contemporary style. a traditional 4-star business hotel in Vitacura, scored for what it is.

This traditional 4-star in Vitacura is a strong pick for travelers who prioritize comfortable rooms and helpful people over fashionable interiors. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, comfortable beds and attentive staff, with both sites showing strong overall ratings. The included buffet breakfast and heated indoor pool add substance to the stay.

The trade-off is convenience versus atmosphere: recent Tripadvisor feedback describes a well-maintained but older hotel, not a fresh design-led property. Parque Arauco is walkable, but reaching it means crossing the highway by a pedestrian bridge; the metro is also a substantial walk away. We'd choose it for business, shopping and a comfortable base in eastern Santiago, but skip it if exploring the historic center on foot is your priority.

• Best for: business travelers in eastern Santiago; shopping-focused stays; travelers prioritizing comfort over design

• Watch out for: older styling rather than a contemporary finish; pedestrian bridge crossing to Parque Arauco; confirm parking arrangements before arrival

• Location: Handy for Vitacura restaurants and Parque Arauco; metro stations are roughly a 20-minute walk away.

• Rooms: Recent guests praise spacious rooms and comfortable beds; some Tripadvisor feedback notes the property's age.

• Cleanliness: A clear strength: both Booking.com and Expedia show cleanliness scores of 9.2/10.

• Service: Helpful, attentive staff earn repeated praise across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor.

• Amenities: Included buffet breakfast, heated indoor pool, seasonal outdoor pool, gym, restaurant and bar.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm parking directly: Wyndham advertises free parking, while Expedia says none is offered and Tripadvisor lists paid parking.
