Axel's take: 6.5/10

Useful metro access and budget appeal, but comfort is uneven. a no-frills budget hotel in an old house near Unión Latinoamericana metro, scored for what it is.

Si Hotel is a no-frills budget hotel on Alameda, best treated as a practical short-stay base rather than somewhere to linger. Its strongest argument is proximity to Unión Latinoamericana metro, with breakfast and Wi-Fi included. Booking.com guests rate it more favorably than Tripadvisor reviewers; recent Despegar guests praise cleanliness, helpful staff and value. We'd consider it for a brief stay when keeping costs down matters most.

The catch is inconsistent comfort. Expedia reviews describe tired interiors and some rooms without outside windows; a 2025 guest reported difficult shower-temperature control, while a July 2026 Despegar guest mentioned broken equipment and missing bathroom supplies. Service also divides opinion. Ask for an outside-facing room and confirm checkout charges. We'd skip it for a comfort-focused holiday or if stairs are a problem: there's no elevator.

• Best for: budget travelers on short stays; travelers prioritizing metro access

• Watch out for: some rooms lack outside windows; uneven maintenance and comfort; no elevator

• Location: Very close to Unión Latinoamericana metro; better for transport access than a sightseeing doorstep.

• Rooms: Basic private-bathroom rooms; condition and natural ventilation vary.

• Cleanliness: Recent praise and respectable Booking.com scores, but not uniformly positive across sites.

• Service: Helpful staff earn praise, though problem handling receives mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Breakfast, free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception and laundry; no elevator or onsite parking.

• Fees and surprises: Confirm late-checkout and luggage-storage charges; shuttles and laundry cost extra.
