Axel's take: 7.8/10

A characterful budget base whose central location outshines its uneven rooms. a simple 3-star in a historic house in central Santiago, scored for what it is.

Hotel Voila Londres is a simple 3-star in an old house in Santiago’s París-Londres quarter. It’s a good pick for a short sightseeing stay if you value character and location over polished facilities. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally praise the cleanliness and helpful staff, while the surrounding cafés, historic streets and nearby metro make exploring easy. For this class, it offers solid value rather than boutique-hotel refinement.

The main compromises are the aging interiors, variable room sizes and lack of an elevator; a 2026 Tripadvisor guest specifically flags the stairs and cobbled approach. Breakfast is included but draws mixed reactions, and recent Booking.com guests mention unreliable Wi-Fi. We’d skip it if stairs are difficult or you need consistently modern rooms and dependable connectivity.

• Best for: budget-minded couples; short sightseeing stays; travelers who prefer historic character

• Watch out for: no elevator and a cobbled approach; uneven room sizes and condition; unreliable in-room Wi-Fi

• Location: Walkable París-Londres setting, close to cafés, central sights and Universidad de Chile metro.

• Rooms: Basic, generally comfortable rooms; size and condition vary, with some looking dated.

• Cleanliness: A relative strength in the larger Booking.com and Expedia review samples.

• Service: Helpful staff receive broad praise, although individual experiences vary.

• Amenities: Breakfast, Wi-Fi and air conditioning are listed; breakfast feedback is mixed.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists no parking; confirm arrival arrangements and whether local tax is included.
