Axel's take: 7.7/10

A practical Providencia base whose location outshines its small, sometimes tired rooms. a no-frills 3-star near Manuel Montt metro, scored for what it is.

This no-frills 3-star in Providencia is a good pick for travelers who prioritize getting around over spending time in their room. Manuel Montt metro is a short walk away, with plenty of restaurants nearby. Expedia and Accor guests repeatedly praise the helpful reception staff and breakfast, while cleanliness generally earns solid marks. We'd choose it for a short city break or straightforward work trip.

The compromise is the room: compact, simply equipped and, according to several recent guests, ready for some updating. Bathroom leaks and inconsistent water temperature also surface in recent Accor and Tripadvisor feedback, though they do not define the overall experience. Breakfast isn't automatically included, and parking costs extra with limited spaces. We'd skip it for longer stays with lots of luggage or if polished rooms matter more than location.

• Best for: budget-conscious city explorers; short business trips; travelers using the metro

• Watch out for: small rooms and limited luggage space; uneven room and bathroom upkeep; breakfast and parking can cost extra

• Location: A short walk from Manuel Montt metro, with restaurants and cafés nearby.

• Rooms: Compact and basic; recent guests report dated finishes and occasional plumbing problems.

• Cleanliness: Generally well rated across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional housekeeping misses.

• Service: Helpful reception staff receive repeated praise across recent reviews.

• Amenities: Restaurant, bar, Wi-Fi and air conditioning; no gym or pool listed by the hotel.

• Fees and surprises: Check breakfast inclusion; parking is paid and limited, and pets carry an additional charge.
