Axel's take: 6.9/10

Good space and location, but tired rooms and unreliable Wi-Fi hold it back. a basic 3-star with kitchenette rooms in Providencia, scored for what it is.

Casa Nogales is a basic 3-star in residential Providencia, strongest on location and room size rather than polish. We'd consider it for a budget-conscious Santiago stay: guests repeatedly appreciate the spacious rooms, useful kitchenettes and access to restaurants, Los Leones metro and Costanera Center. Recent Expedia guests also praise helpful staff and breakfast, while Booking.com feedback often calls it good value.

The catch is inconsistent upkeep. Across Booking.com, Tripadvisor and Agoda, guests describe dated interiors, uneven housekeeping or unreliable Wi-Fi; breakfast can become repetitive on longer stays. More recent positive reports are encouraging, but don't erase those recurring weaknesses. Confirm breakfast inclusion and the damage-deposit terms before booking. It's a practical base if you'll spend most days out; we'd skip it for dependable remote working or a reliably fresh, well-maintained room.

• Best for: budget-conscious city explorers; families wanting extra room; travelers who value a kitchenette

• Watch out for: dated rooms and uneven maintenance; unreliable Wi-Fi; damage deposit and breakfast terms

• Location: Residential Providencia, with restaurants, Los Leones metro and Costanera Center within walking reach.

• Rooms: Spacious rooms and kitchenettes earn praise; dated fittings and occasional mattress complaints temper the appeal.

• Cleanliness: Generally positive overall, but recurring reports of carpets, bathrooms and towel replacement needing attention.

• Service: Recent guests often praise helpful staff, though reception and problem handling receive mixed feedback.

• Amenities: Buffet breakfast, 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi; confirm a kitchenette in your chosen room.

• Fees and surprises: Guests report a refundable damage deposit; breakfast may cost extra, and parking requires advance arrangement.
