Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong budget pick for clean rooms and helpful staff, but check the hot tub. a simple budget chain hotel beside I-35, scored for what it is.

This simple budget hotel beside I-35 is a strong pick for Round Rock visits where clean rooms and convenience matter more than character. Expedia and Booking.com guests consistently praise comfortable beds, cleanliness and helpful staff; recent Tripadvisor feedback also singles out service. Free hot breakfast, parking and Wi-Fi make it a practical choice, while in-room microwaves and refrigerators help families and longer-stay guests.

The main caution is the hot tub: despite its advertised availability, September and October 2026 Expedia reviews report cold water or an out-of-order facility. Confirm repairs before booking if that matters to you. The indoor pool receives positive feedback, but this remains a straightforward roadside base, not a destination hotel. We'd skip it for an Austin trip centered on walking between downtown sights.

• Best for: budget-conscious travelers with a car; families visiting Round Rock; short business stays

• Watch out for: recent hot-tub problems; confirm repairs; not a walkable downtown Austin base; no pets except service animals

• Location: Convenient I-35 access near restaurants, shopping and Dell headquarters; better suited to drivers.

• Rooms: Guests generally find rooms comfortable; microwaves, refrigerators and coffee makers are included.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com and Expedia, despite occasional individual complaints.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise across several sites.

• Amenities: Free hot breakfast, indoor heated pool and gym; recent guests report the advertised hot tub malfunctioning.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and Wi-Fi are included; extra beds and laundry can cost more, and pets are not accepted.
