Axel's take: 8.6/10

A strong airport-area base for longer stays, with spacious suites and a few aging edges. a practical 3-star extended-stay hotel near RDU, scored for what it is.

This 3-star extended-stay hotel is a strong pick if you want room to spread out near RDU and Research Triangle Park. Suites have full kitchens and separate living areas, while included hot breakfast, parking and an airport shuttle make it practical for families and work trips. Recent Expedia and Booking.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; breakfast also earns consistent approval.

The trade-off is polish rather than missing essentials. Some guests on Tripadvisor and Expedia describe aging interiors, with occasional maintenance and housekeeping lapses, though recent feedback is predominantly positive. Marriott lists housekeeping every other day, and the airport shuttle is on request. We'd choose it for a practical longer stay, but skip it if you want freshly finished interiors or a walkable downtown setting.

• Best for: extended business stays near RTP; families wanting kitchens and extra space; airport travelers with a car

• Watch out for: some aging furnishings and maintenance complaints; housekeeping every other day; airport shuttle requires a request

• Location: Convenient for RDU, RTP and Brier Creek shopping; better suited to driving than downtown sightseeing.

• Rooms: Spacious kitchen-equipped suites and comfortable beds; some guests report worn furnishings.

• Cleanliness: Strong recent feedback across Expedia and Booking.com outweighs occasional housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength, with some exceptions in problem handling.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, indoor pool, gym, laundry facilities and complimentary airport shuttle.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking is free; pets incur a nonrefundable fee and have size and number restrictions.
