NH Porto Jardim is a modern 4-star that gets the city-break essentials right. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean, comfortable rooms, genuinely helpful staff and a varied breakfast. It’s close enough to explore central Porto on foot without sleeping amid the busiest streets, and the garden gives you somewhere pleasant to unwind. We’d choose it for reliable comfort rather than historic character.

The main caveat is the rooftop pool: it’s a shallow, 70-centimeter relaxation pool, not somewhere to swim laps. It operates May–September, so it is closed for the October off-season; summer guests also flag limited space and no shade. Parking and breakfast can cost extra. It’s a strong pick for sightseeing couples, but we’d skip it if a substantial pool or resort-style facilities are central to your trip.
