#3 of 9 hotels in Bolhão & Santa Catarina by Axel's take. Bolhão & Santa Catarina is #1 of 8 places to stay in Porto. The best hotels in Bolhão & Santa Catarina, ranked · Where to stay in Porto

Axel's take: 9.1/10

A standout Porto city base, with excellent staff and a small rooftop pool. a modern 4-star city hotel near Trindade metro, scored for what it is.

Vincci Bonjardim is a modern 4-star near Trindade metro, and we'd put it high on the shortlist for a Porto city break. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the cleanliness, comfortable rooms and genuinely helpful staff; breakfast earns unusually enthusiastic feedback too. The rooftop bar and terrace add somewhere appealing to unwind after sightseeing, rather than just another hotel amenity.

The trade-offs are mostly practical: the pool is a small plunge pool, loungers are limited, and some Tripadvisor guests find room storage insufficient. Several Expedia guests also mention sound carrying between rooms, although quiet stays are common elsewhere. The riverside is roughly a 20–30-minute downhill walk, with a climb home. We'd skip it for a pool-focused holiday or an immediately waterfront location, but it's a strong pick for comfortable sightseeing stays.

Best for: couples on a city break; sightseers using the metro; travelers who prioritize cleanliness and service
Watch out for: small pool and limited loungers; occasional noise and limited room storage; uphill return from the riverside
Location: Near Trindade metro and Bolhão Market; the riverside is a longer downhill walk.
Rooms: Modern and comfortable overall; some guests flag limited storage and imperfect soundproofing.
Cleanliness: A standout strength, with consistently high marks across Booking.com and Expedia.
Service: Warm, helpful staff receive remarkably consistent praise across the major review sites.
Amenities: Rooftop dining, small heated pool and well-reviewed breakfast; Expedia lists pool operation from May through September, so confirm seasonal access.
Fees and surprises: City tax applies; breakfast depends on your booking, while parking and EV charging cost extra and require advance arrangements.
