#4 of 8 hotels in Cedofeita by Axel's take. Cedofeita is #3 of 8 places to stay in Porto. The best hotels in Cedofeita, ranked · Where to stay in Porto

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong riverside four-star, provided you choose your room with noise in mind. A contemporary 4-star riverside hotel built around a former convent, scored for what it is.

NEYA Porto is a contemporary 4-star hotel incorporating a former convent beside the Douro, and a strong pick for comfort with some historical character. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast generally lands well, while the rooftop Skybar’s river views give you a good reason to linger at the hotel rather than simply sleep here.

The main compromise is noise: reports across sites flag traffic, trams and nearby club music in some river-facing rooms, particularly at weekends. We’d request a courtyard-facing room if sleep matters more than the view. Ribeira is walkable along the waterfront, but exploring the upper city means hills. Choose it for riverside atmosphere and dependable comfort; skip it if you need guaranteed quiet or the most central sightseeing base.

  • Best for: Couples on a Porto city break; Travelers who enjoy riverside walks; Sightseers comfortable with hills

  • Watch out for: Traffic and club noise in some river-facing rooms; Uphill walks to the upper city; Paid parking cannot be reserved

  • Location: Beside the Douro, within walking distance of Ribeira; upper-city sightseeing involves hills.

  • Rooms: Modern, comfortable rooms; courtyard-facing options are the safer request for light sleepers.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength in recent reviews, supported by high cleanliness ratings across booking sites.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, including in recent verified guest reviews.

  • Amenities: River-view Skybar, Viva Porto restaurant, massage spa, fitness facilities and complimentary guest bikes.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking and EV charging cost extra; confirm breakfast inclusion in your chosen booking.
