#7 of 7 hotels in Bonfim by Axel's take. Bonfim is #6 of 8 places to stay in Porto. The best hotels in Bonfim, ranked · Where to stay in Porto

Axel's take: 8.3/10

A strong budget stopover near Campanhã, provided you can handle stairs and some noise. a simple budget guesthouse near Campanhã station, scored for what it is.

Hospedaria Londres is a simple budget guesthouse, not a full-service three-star hotel, and we'd pick it for a practical Porto stopover. Campanhã's trains and metro are a short walk away; the historic center requires more effort. Recent guests on Expedia and Planet of Hotels repeatedly praise clean rooms, helpful staff and good value. Air-conditioning, private bathrooms and luggage storage cover the essentials well.

The main compromises are steep stairs without a lift, variable room sizes and noise from the street or other guests. Several reviewers describe rooms whose windows open onto an internal corridor or staircase, so confirm the room type if daylight and ventilation matter. We'd skip it for a quiet, spacious city break or if carrying luggage upstairs is difficult. Arrange late arrivals directly rather than assuming round-the-clock reception.

  • Best for: overnight rail and bus connections; budget travelers comfortable using the metro; short, practical stays

  • Watch out for: steep stairs and no lift; street and internal noise; some rooms lack an exterior-facing window

  • Location: Very convenient for Campanhã transport connections, less convenient for sightseeing entirely on foot.

  • Rooms: Air-conditioned en-suite rooms; size and window outlook vary substantially.

  • Cleanliness: Consistently praised across recent reviews, despite occasional maintenance complaints.

  • Service: Friendly, responsive staff are a recurring strength; coordinate arrival times ahead.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, luggage storage and a basic terrace; expect guesthouse-level facilities.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a city tax payable at the property and a late-checkout charge; no on-site parking.
