A strong stadium-weekend pick, with polished rooms and casino-specific compromises. an upscale casino hotel in South Philadelphia’s Stadium District, scored for what it is.

Live! is an upscale casino hotel in South Philadelphia’s Stadium District, and a strong pick for a game or concert weekend. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious, exceptionally clean rooms, comfortable beds, generous showers and helpful staff. Walking access to the stadiums is the main draw, and complimentary self-parking for overnight guests makes arriving by car unusually straightforward.

The compromises are mostly about the setting, not the rooms. This is a stadium-and-casino base rather than a walk-out-and-explore Center City hotel. Guests flag smoke in the casino, while families report limited dining choices accessible without entering the adults-only gaming floor. There’s no pool, and Expedia lists a nightly resort fee and a deposit. We’d choose it for an adult sports weekend; families wanting resort facilities or travelers focused on downtown sightseeing should look elsewhere.

• Best for: stadium games and concerts; adult casino weekends; travelers arriving by car

• Watch out for: smoking permitted in casino areas; nightly resort fee and deposit; limited family-friendly facilities

• Location: Walkable to the stadiums; less convenient for a Center City sightseeing itinerary.

• Rooms: Modern, spacious rooms with comfortable beds, well-liked showers, coffee stations and mini-fridges.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across recent Tripadvisor and Expedia hotel reviews.

• Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise friendly, helpful staff and efficient check-in.

• Amenities: Casino, restaurants, bars and a 24-hour fitness center; no swimming pool.

• Fees and surprises: Overnight self-parking is complimentary; Expedia lists a nightly resort fee and per-stay deposit.
