Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong family beach pick, with a standout pool and some extras to budget for. a family-focused 3-star beachfront resort, scored for what it is.

This family-focused 3-star resort delivers where a beach holiday counts: direct sand access, a heated lazy river, and restaurants within walking distance. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the helpful staff, clean rooms and pool setup; Booking.com also scores cleanliness and comfort highly. We'd choose it for an easygoing family stay rather than luxury. Book a Gulf-front balcony room if the view matters: sound-facing rooms don't have balconies.

The trade-offs are limited housekeeping and extras for parking, beach-chair rentals and breakfast unless included in your booking. Nearby Hampton Inn construction at 20 Via De Luna Drive began in July 2026, with opening planned for 2028; ask about room exposure and current noise before booking. We'd skip it for a quiet, adults-focused escape, but it's a strong choice for families who will use the beach and pools.

• Best for: families who love pools; beach holidays with walkable dining; travelers wanting Gulf-front balconies

• Watch out for: nearby Hampton Inn construction; parking, breakfast and beach-chair extras; limited housekeeping

• Location: Direct beachfront access, with the boardwalk, pier and several restaurants within walking distance.

• Rooms: Comfortable rooms with microwaves and mini-fridges; Gulf-front rooms have balconies, sound-facing rooms do not.

• Cleanliness: Strong cleanliness ratings across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength; housekeeping is limited.

• Amenities: Heated lazy river, indoor pool, two hot tubs, gym, restaurant and beachfront tiki bar.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and beach-chair rentals cost extra; check breakfast inclusions and nearby construction exposure.
