Axel's take: 5.9/10

Useful kitchens and helpful staff, but upkeep falls short even for a budget stay. a budget extended-stay chain hotel with in-room kitchens, scored for what it is.

This budget extended-stay chain hotel makes most sense for travelers needing a kitchen rather than vacation amenities. Full-size refrigerators, stovetops, guest laundry and free parking are practical strengths, and the location suits shopping, hospital visits and highway access—not beach days. Expedia and Google guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, but we'd treat it as a compromise rather than dependable budget value.

Recent feedback shows uneven cleaning, tired furnishings and recurring maintenance problems, despite some guests finding clean, comfortable rooms. Expedia's 6.0 and Booking.com's 5.4 overall scores reinforce that mixed picture. An August 2026 Tripadvisor guest reported a broken elevator, which management acknowledged; confirm it is working if stairs are a problem. The hotel advertises grab-and-go breakfast, but a recent guest and management response describe it as unavailable during that stay. We'd skip it if consistent cleanliness or reliable facilities matter more than having a kitchen.

• Best for: self-catering travelers on a tight budget; work or hospital visits with a car

• Watch out for: uneven cleaning and worn interiors; confirm elevator operation and breakfast; pet fees and limited included housekeeping

• Location: Convenient for University Town Plaza, West Florida Hospital and highways; not a beach base.

• Rooms: Kitchens are useful, but recent guests repeatedly describe dated furnishings and maintenance faults.

• Cleanliness: Mixed: some clean-room reports, alongside recurring complaints about dirty surfaces and stained fittings.

• Service: Helpful staff are a recurring bright spot, though availability and problem handling vary.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi and parking, kitchens and guest laundry; advertised grab-and-go breakfast needs confirmation.

• Fees and surprises: Pets cost extra; the brand lists fortnightly cleaning for longer stays, with additional service charged.
