Axel's take: 8.4/10

Practical suites and warm service make a strong-value base, but traffic noise matters. a value-focused serviced-suite hotel in South Pattaya, scored for what it is.

The Grass is a value-focused serviced-suite hotel, not a luxury four-star escape. We'd pick it for practical comforts: separate living areas, microwaves, large fridges and easy access to local food shops. Booking.com and Expedia guests strongly praise cleanliness and helpful staff, while Tripadvisor reviews reinforce the good-value verdict. A pool, gym and sauna round out a useful setup for longer stays.

The compromise is location and quiet. You're away from the beachfront and main tourist action, so expect rides rather than everything on your doorstep. Traffic and motorcycle noise recur across Tripadvisor and Trip.com reviews; request a higher-floor room away from the road, without assuming silence. Entry-level suites are compact rather than sprawling, and the pool is small. We'd skip it for a beach-first holiday or if undisturbed sleep is your top priority.

  • Best for: value-minded couples and solo travelers; longer stays with light meal preparation; travelers comfortable using taxis

  • Watch out for: traffic noise in roadside rooms; rides needed for the beach and main nightlife; compact entry-level suites and small pool

  • Location: South Pattaya base with restaurants and convenience stores nearby, but removed from the beachfront.

  • Rooms: Entry-level Deluxe King rooms are 26 square meters, with living space, microwave, fridge and balcony.

  • Cleanliness: Strong overall feedback across Booking.com and Expedia; cleanliness is a consistent strength.

  • Service: Friendly, attentive staff draw repeated praise across several review sites.

  • Amenities: Pool, gym, sauna, restaurant and laundry facilities; the pool is modest in size.

  • Fees and surprises: Expedia lists a cash deposit at check-in; breakfast costs extra unless included in your booking.
