A strong downtown base, with comfortable rooms and a few practical compromises. a full-service 4-star downtown hotel, scored for what it is.

This full-service 4-star is a strong pick for exploring Ottawa without a car. Across from Rideau Centre and close to ByWard Market, the canal and convention centre, its location does much of the selling. Recent Expedia and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and friendly staff. The indoor pool, gym and Albion Rooms restaurant round out a dependable city stay.

The trade-offs are practical rather than deal-breaking: some rooms feel tight, particularly those with two beds, and parking is a paid, third-party arrangement.
