#1 of 2 hotels in Majorstuen by Axel's take. Majorstuen is #8 of 12 places to stay in Oslo. The best hotels in Majorstuen, ranked · Where to stay in Oslo
Axel's take: 8.8/10
A strong boutique choice for breakfast, friendly service and quieter Oslo stays. a small 4-star boutique hotel in a quiet residential neighborhood, scored for what it is.
Saga is a small 4-star boutique hotel that makes a convincing alternative to Oslo’s larger downtown properties. Its residential setting, comfortable beds and welcoming staff are the draw, with recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praising cleanliness and helpful service. The included breakfast earns particularly consistent enthusiasm. We'd pick it for a relaxed city break with neighborhood restaurants nearby, rather than for extensive hotel facilities.
The main caveat is summer comfort: rooms lack air conditioning, and warm-weather guests report overheating despite the fans provided. Room sizes vary, so check the category rather than assuming boutique means spacious. Central sights require some walking or public transport, and the eight parking spaces cannot be reserved. We'd skip it if guaranteed cooling, guaranteed parking or a location beside Oslo Central Station matters most.
-

-
