Axel's take: 7.2/10
A practical Novato stopover, provided you can accept basic breakfast and uneven upkeep. a no-frills roadside budget hotel near Highway 101, scored for what it is.
This is a no-frills roadside budget hotel in northern Novato, not a San Francisco city base despite the name. We'd consider it for a short, car-based stay: recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and ample free parking, while several Tripadvisor guests also credit friendly staff. The seasonal outdoor pool and gym are useful extras for this class, and some rooms overlook pasture rather than pavement.
The compromise is consistency. Tripadvisor reviews describe worn fittings and recurring maintenance issues, including unreliable air-conditioning, although many other guests report comfortable stays. Breakfast is a light cereal-and-pastry affair, not a substantial buffet. Wyndham also ties complimentary Wi-Fi to Rewards membership. We'd skip it if you want polished rooms, walkable dining or a full-service hotel experience.
-
Best for: budget-conscious travelers with a car; short Novato visits; road-trip stopovers

-

-

-

-
Service: Many guests praise helpful staff, though front-desk interactions are not uniformly warm.
-
Amenities: Free parking, light breakfast, gym and seasonal outdoor pool; Wyndham also advertises a hot tub.
-
