Axel's take: 7.7/10

Useful Meadowlands location and included essentials, but the building needs a refresh. A practical, aging 3-star near MetLife Stadium and American Dream, scored for what it is.

This is a straightforward 3-star chain hotel, strongest as a practical base for MetLife Stadium, American Dream or Manhattan trips using the bus outside. We'd consider it for the included breakfast and parking rather than its looks. Booking.com and Expedia guests generally praise clean, comfortable rooms and helpful staff; recent reviews also highlight how convenient the bus stop is.

The recurring drawback is wear: Tripadvisor and Marriott reviewers describe dated furnishings, tired carpets and rooms needing a refresh. Breakfast earns mostly positive comments, though busy periods can strain the spread, and reception gets mixed feedback. A few summer 2026 Tripadvisor guests alleged pests; management says inspections found no evidence. Those reports warrant attention, but don't establish a hotel-wide problem against the broader cleanliness feedback. We'd skip it for a polished stay or if being in Manhattan matters more than parking and included basics.

• Best for: MetLife Stadium eventgoers; Families visiting American Dream; Drivers taking the bus into Manhattan

• Watch out for: Dated rooms and worn carpets; Breakfast can struggle with crowds; Disputed recent pest reports

• Location: Convenient for Meadowlands attractions, with a Manhattan-bound bus stop outside.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable but dated; Marriott lists in-room microwaves and mini-fridges.

• Cleanliness: Broadly positive across booking sites, alongside some wear-related complaints and disputed pest allegations.

• Service: Helpful staff are a recurring strength, though some recent guests describe unsympathetic reception.

• Amenities: Included breakfast, a 24-hour gym, guest laundry and a small convenience market.

• Fees and surprises: On-site parking is complimentary; Marriott lists check-in at 4 p.m. and a minimum check-in age of 21.
