Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong Midtown base with standout staff, compact rooms and a destination fee. a wellness-focused 4-star near Penn Station, scored for what it is.

This wellness-focused 4-star near Penn Station is a strong pick for travelers who want comfort and convenience rather than luxury. Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com guests consistently praise the helpful staff, cleanliness and easy subway access. Penn Station and Madison Square Garden are close, while Times Square is walkable rather than right outside. The round-the-clock gym and in-room exercise equipment give the wellness branding some substance.

The main trade-offs are space and extras. Rooms can feel tight with several people and luggage, and some guests report hallway or neighboring-room noise, although many describe quiet stays. A nightly destination fee is confirmed by management; check breakfast inclusion too. Summer 2026 guests also mentioned nearby construction, so ask about current disruption. We'd skip it for spacious family accommodation or a polished luxury experience.

• Best for: couples and solo sightseers; Penn Station and MSG visitors; travelers who want a proper gym

• Watch out for: nightly destination fee; compact rooms and occasional internal noise; nearby construction reported in summer 2026

• Location: Excellent for Penn Station, MSG and subway access; Times Square is a walk away.

• Rooms: Modern and comfortable, but space can be tight for families; noise experiences vary.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Tripadvisor, Expedia and Trip.com guest feedback.

• Service: Friendly, helpful reception and restaurant staff earn repeated praise across sites.

• Amenities: 24-hour gym, in-room fitness equipment, restaurant/bar and games room; no pool.

• Fees and surprises: Nightly destination fee applies; breakfast depends on the booking, and nearby garage parking costs extra.
