Axel's take: 7.3/10

Useful suite space and welcoming staff, but the buildings need a refresh. An older, apartment-style 3-star extended-stay hotel near the airport, scored for what it is.

This older, apartment-style 3-star Residence Inn is a practical pick if kitchen space matters more than modern decor. Full kitchens, roomy suites and included breakfast make it useful for families and longer stays near BNA. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise helpful staff, comfortable rooms and breakfast; many also report good cleanliness. We'd consider it for a functional stay rather than a polished hotel experience.

The recurring drawback is age: Expedia and Tripadvisor guests describe dated furnishings, while some Tripadvisor reviews report maintenance and housekeeping misses. The exterior-entry layout feels more like an apartment complex than a conventional hotel. Parking costs extra, and Marriott explicitly says there is no airport shuttle despite older listings suggesting otherwise. We'd skip it if you want fresh interiors, consistently spotless rooms or downtown sightseeing on foot.

• Best for: Families wanting kitchen space; Longer stays near BNA; Travelers prioritizing space over style

• Watch out for: Dated interiors and uneven maintenance; Exterior-entry rooms; Paid parking and no airport shuttle

• Location: Near BNA; better suited to drivers and rideshare users than downtown sightseeing on foot.

• Rooms: Spacious suites with full kitchens, but dated furnishings are a consistent complaint.

• Cleanliness: Many recent guests report clean rooms, though housekeeping misses appear in other reviews.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are among the strongest recurring positives.

• Amenities: Included hot breakfast, seasonal outdoor pool, fitness center and guest laundry.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is charged; pet stays carry nightly and cleaning fees; Marriott lists no airport shuttle.
