Axel's take: 7.3/10

Welcoming Jamaican all-inclusive with a lovely beach club, but rebuilding remains a real caveat. A simple, Jamaican-owned mid-range all-inclusive near the airport, scored for what it is.

SeaGarden is a simple, Jamaican-owned all-inclusive near Montego Bay’s airport, not a polished luxury resort. We’d consider it for its private beach club across Kent Avenue, local atmosphere and approachable scale. September and October 2026 Expedia guests repeatedly praise welcoming staff, clean rooms and Jamaican cooking, although food opinions aren’t unanimous. The overall verdict is good for its class, rather than consistently excellent.

The biggest caveat is ongoing hurricane reconstruction and expansion. The Gleaner reports a partial reopening on September 1, 2026, with remaining existing rooms expected back by February 2027; guestroom work, a lobby lounge and a new beachside restaurant are part of the project. Confirm construction exposure and operating facilities before booking. We’d skip it for a special occasion requiring a fully finished resort or reliably quiet surroundings.

• Best for: Value-minded all-inclusive travelers; Families wanting a Jamaican atmosphere; Beach breaks close to the airport

• Watch out for: Ongoing hurricane reconstruction and expansion; Road crossing to the private beach club; Some guests report loud music

• Location: Short airport transfer; private beach club directly across Kent Avenue.

• Rooms: Recent guests praise clean, comfortable rooms; upgrades are being phased in during reconstruction.

• Cleanliness: A relative strength across aggregate ratings and recent Expedia feedback.

• Service: Recent staff feedback is strongly positive, though reservation handling has drawn complaints.

• Amenities: Pools, beach club and entertainment are advertised; confirm which facilities are operating during rebuilding.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists airport transfers and late checkout as extra; parking is free.
