Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong Condesa apartment base, provided you choose your room carefully. A modern, apartment-style stay overlooking Parque México in Condesa, scored for what it is.

Nido Parque Mexico is a modern aparthotel rather than a full-service four-star hotel, and it makes a strong base for exploring Condesa. Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise the park-facing location, clean interiors, comfortable beds and well-equipped kitchens. The rooftop terrace, gym and laundry facilities add practical appeal, especially for longer stays. We'd choose it for apartment independence and cafés on the doorstep.

The main compromise is noise: Expedia and Tripadvisor guests describe restaurant sound reaching lower-floor rooms, sometimes until midnight. Request a quieter unit away from the restaurants, but don't assume silence. Recent guests also report no air-conditioning, and housekeeping is weekly rather than daily. Staff earn plenty of praise, though some guests describe slow problem resolution. We'd skip it if reliable quiet, cooling or hands-on hotel service are priorities.

• Best for: Couples exploring Condesa; Longer stays with self-catering; Independent travelers who enjoy lively neighborhoods

• Watch out for: Restaurant noise in some lower-floor units; No air-conditioning reported by recent guests; Weekly rather than daily housekeeping

• Location: Opposite Parque México, with cafés and restaurants close by; location is the clearest cross-site strength.

• Rooms: Modern studios and apartments with kitchens; park-view balconies appeal, but noise and lack of air-conditioning deserve attention.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall: Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms and well-kept interiors.

• Service: Usually praised as friendly and helpful, with some reports of slow management responses when problems arise.

• Amenities: Rooftop terrace, gym, Wi-Fi and laundry facilities support an independent apartment-style stay.

• Fees and surprises: Pets carry an extra charge; housekeeping is weekly, and Expedia lists no on-site parking.
