#6 of 7 hotels in Airport & Trade Fair (FYCMA) by Axel's take. Airport & Trade Fair (FYCMA) is #9 of 9 places to stay in Málaga. The best hotels in Airport & Trade Fair (FYCMA), ranked · Where to stay in Málaga

Axel's take: 7.8/10

Good-value studios near the fairgrounds, but expect compact rooms and a student-residence atmosphere. Budget private studios in a student-residence complex near Málaga’s fairgrounds, scored for what it is.

This is budget studio accommodation in a student-residence complex, not a conventional full-service 3-star hotel. We’d consider it for a practical, good-value stay near FYCMA: private bathrooms, kitchenettes, a gym and shared workspaces cover the essentials well. Booking.com and Expedia’s overall ratings are solid, and recent guests frequently praise helpful staff and clean, functional rooms.

The compromises are space, location and consistency. Rooms can feel tight for two, central Málaga requires transport, and student or corridor noise crops up across review sites. Housekeeping is not daily; despite generally positive cleanliness scores, several recent guests report missed cleaning or bathroom maintenance problems. Check the kitchenette inventory, damage-deposit terms and paid-parking availability before arrival. We’d skip it for a quiet romantic break or sightseeing entirely on foot.

Best for: Budget-conscious solo travelers; FYCMA and fairground visitors; Travelers wanting basic self-catering
Watch out for: Compact rooms and possible student noise; Transport needed for central sightseeing; Non-daily housekeeping and uneven bathroom upkeep
Location: Convenient for FYCMA; Victoria Kent station is about 800 metres away, while the historic centre requires transport.
Rooms: Basic private studios with kitchenettes and air conditioning; doubles can feel cramped, and utensils may be limited.
Cleanliness: Good overall ratings, tempered by repeated recent reports of missed cleaning and bathroom mould or maintenance issues.
Service: Staff are frequently praised as helpful, although some guests report unresolved maintenance requests.
Amenities: Gym, coworking spaces, shared kitchens, on-site dining, free Wi-Fi and laundry facilities.
Fees and surprises: Damage deposit and paid parking apply; confirm parking availability, cleaning frequency and late-arrival arrangements.
