Axel's take: 7.7/10

A good-value Beverly Hills base, but nearby construction weakens the appeal. a small 4-star boutique hotel with limited facilities near Rodeo Drive, scored for what it is.

SIRTAJ is a small 4-star boutique hotel that works better as a Beverly Hills base than a luxury retreat. We'd pick it for walkable access to Rodeo Drive and nearby restaurants, rather than extensive facilities. Recent Expedia, Booking.com and Trip.com guests repeatedly praise the location, helpful staff and comfortable beds, with cleanliness generally a strength. It's good value for the neighborhood if you mainly need somewhere comfortable to sleep.

The trade-offs are limited amenities, some compact or dark rooms and recurring complaints about the slow elevator. More importantly, Metro's Beverly Drive station construction and street restoration remain active around Wilshire and South Reeves in October 2026, with pedestrian detours; recent guests report disruptive noise. Parking costs extra. We'd skip it for a resort-style stay or if quiet mornings are essential.

• Best for: value-minded Beverly Hills visitors; shopping and dining trips; short business stays

• Watch out for: nearby Metro construction and street detours; some compact rooms and a slow elevator; paid parking

• Location: Walkable to Rodeo Drive and restaurants, though nearby Metro works complicate access.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds; room size and natural light vary, and some rooms have balconies.

• Cleanliness: Generally well rated across major booking sites, with recent praise outweighing isolated complaints.

• Service: Helpful, friendly staff are a recurring positive; reception is advertised around the clock.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi and lobby coffee/tea; no pool or gym, and breakfast availability needs confirmation.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is charged separately; confirm mandatory fees and current construction impacts before booking.
