The Adelphi is a historic 3-star offering budget-level comfort behind a grand Edwardian frontage, minutes from Lime Street station. We'd consider it for a short, location-first stay, not a special occasion. Recent Expedia and Tripadvisor guests praise spacious rooms, impressive public areas and helpful staff; some report refreshed bathrooms and surprisingly comfortable stays. Its reputation isn't the whole story, but neither is the grandeur a guarantee of quality.

The drawback is inconsistency: dated bedrooms, maintenance problems, variable housekeeping and nighttime noise recur across guest accounts.
