#3 of 4 hotels in Bangsar & Mid Valley by Axel's take. Bangsar & Mid Valley is #6 of 6 places to stay in Kuala Lumpur. The best hotels in Bangsar & Mid Valley, ranked · Where to stay in Kuala Lumpur

Axel's take: 8.2/10

A strong shopping base with comfortable rooms and a few maintenance niggles. a practical 4-star hotel connected to Mid Valley’s shopping malls, scored for what it is.

St. Giles Boulevard is a practical 4-star in Mid Valley City, and we’d pick it for shopping convenience rather than a luxury escape. Direct access to Mid Valley Megamall and The Gardens Mall makes meals and rainy-day plans easy. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise spacious rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff, while recent Tripadvisor reviews reinforce the warm-service picture. An outdoor pool and gym round out a solid, comfortable base.

The trade-offs are mostly practical: some rooms still feel dated, several guests report warm or troublesome air-conditioning, and parking is shared with mall shoppers rather than reserved for hotel guests. These aren’t the dominant story, but they’re worth knowing. It’s a strong pick for mall-focused weekends and Mid Valley business trips; we’d skip it if walking straight into KLCC or Bukit Bintang is the priority.

  • Best for: shopping-focused weekends; families wanting easy dining options; Mid Valley business trips

  • Watch out for: occasional air-conditioning problems; shared mall parking; outside the KLCC and Bukit Bintang core

  • Location: Direct mall connections are the standout; Mid Valley rail station is nearby.

  • Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable, though some guests find the interiors dated.

  • Cleanliness: Mostly positive recent feedback across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor.

  • Service: Friendly, helpful staff earn repeated praise, including for resolving room problems.

  • Amenities: Outdoor pool, children’s pool, gym, restaurant and lobby lounge; suite guests receive business-lounge access.

  • Fees and surprises: Parking costs extra and is shared with shoppers; check whether breakfast is included.
