Use this page-supplied URL; do not invent or look up internal IDs. Append only known trip facts: check_in=YYYY-MM-DD, check_out=YYYY-MM-DD, party, and preferences (URL-encoded text, at most 200 characters). Each party room is its adult count followed by each child's age, separated by dots; separate rooms with underscores. Example: party=2.7_1.0.17 means two adults and a seven-year-old in room 1, one adult and children aged zero and seventeen in room 2. Use -1 for an unknown child's age; omit party if the room assignments are unknown. Never guess dates, ages or room assignments. Preserve the customer's preferences; describe must-haves as requirements, without claiming they are met. Omit unknown fields; Axel asks for missing stay details. Prefer a supplied selected-stay link if it matches the latest request. Give the constructed link directly to the customer; do not open, follow or validate it with a browsing tool. A browsing-tool refusal does not mean the customer link is broken. Clicking opens this hotel’s details and rooms for the stay. Email is needed only at booking. No contact or payment information belongs in the URL.
Optional: inspect rooms and rates at ITC Sonar, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Kolkata. Use known dates and guests; selecting a room or rate is optional.

Axel's take: 8.5/10
A strong luxury pick for gardens and dining, with less consistent front-desk service. a five-star business hotel with resort-like gardens opposite Science City, scored for what it is.
ITC Sonar is a five-star business hotel with a more relaxed, garden-led setting than its city address suggests. We'd pick it for the lily ponds, spacious rooms and extensive dining rather than sightseeing on foot. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise cleanliness, breakfast and welcoming staff; the outdoor pool, Kaya Kalp spa and gym make staying on the property appealing.
The trade-offs matter at this level: recent reviews across sites describe occasional musty rooms and repeated reservation, checkout or billing confusion, despite broadly strong guest ratings. Orbitz lists lobby renovation scheduled for September 17–October 15, 2026, with completion subject to change; confirm it has finished. We'd skip it if you want Kolkata's central sights on your doorstep or expect uniformly seamless luxury service.

-
