Axel's take: 8.7/10

Spacious rooms and warm service make this a strong mall-connected choice, with renovation caveats. a five-star boutique hotel attached to Forum Mall, scored for what it is.

The Artiste is a five-star boutique hotel attached to Forum Mall in Maradu, better suited to shopping and comfortable city stays than exploring historic Kochi on foot. We'd pick it for spacious rooms, attentive staff and breakfast: Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise those essentials, alongside strong cleanliness feedback. The outdoor pool and direct mall access add practical appeal for families.

The main caveat is recent maintenance disruption. August and September 2026 Tripadvisor reviews describe lobby renovation and entry through the mall; management acknowledged the work, but completion remains unconfirmed. One September guest also reported a scheduled overnight water shutdown disclosed only after check-in. Ask about lobby access and planned service interruptions before booking. We'd skip it if you want a seamless luxury arrival or a walkable Fort Kochi base.

• Best for: families who want shopping close by; business travelers staying around Maradu; travelers who prioritize spacious rooms

• Watch out for: recent lobby renovation; completion unconfirmed; ask about planned maintenance interruptions; not a walkable Fort Kochi base

• Location: Direct Forum Mall access in Maradu; convenient for shopping rather than historic sightseeing on foot.

• Rooms: Spacious modern rooms, with balcony and backwater-view options; isolated maintenance faults appear in recent feedback.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor guest feedback.

• Service: Warm, attentive staff earn repeated praise; advance communication about maintenance has disappointed some guests.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, fitness center, restaurants and poolside bar; Expedia also lists a spa.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; confirm breakfast inclusion, bring a digital payment method and check renovation status.
