Strong service and breakfast make this a good base, but renovations warrant checking ahead. an established five-star business hotel near the Al Hamra Corniche, scored for what it is.

Swissotel Jeddah Al Hamra is an established five-star business hotel near the Corniche, formerly Crowne Plaza Jeddah. It's a strong pick for travelers who prioritize helpful staff, clean rooms and a substantial breakfast over cutting-edge luxury. Expedia and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise those basics, while September and October 2026 Accor reviews remain positive about hospitality and comfort. The location works well for waterfront walks and nearby restaurants.

The caveat is the building's transition, not its new name: hospitality reporting describes a phased, two-year renovation announced in early 2026. Ask which areas are being worked on and whether your room has been refreshed. Guests still describe some dated rooms and bathrooms, with occasional maintenance complaints. We'd choose it for a comfortable business stay, but skip it for a fully finished luxury escape.

• Best for: business travelers; Corniche walks and nearby dining; travelers who value breakfast and service

• Watch out for: phased renovation; confirm current work; some dated rooms and bathrooms; occasional maintenance complaints

• Location: Near the Al Hamra Corniche, fountain viewpoints and restaurants; a city base rather than a beach resort.

• Rooms: Generally comfortable and spacious, but condition varies; request a refreshed room.

• Cleanliness: Consistently praised across recent Expedia, Tripadvisor and Accor guest feedback.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a recurring strength, though follow-through occasionally falls short.

• Amenities: Accor lists an outdoor pool, gym, sauna, multiple restaurants and extensive meeting facilities.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free parking and Wi-Fi, with airport transfers charged separately; confirm renovation disruption.
