Axel's take: 9.1/10

A strong boutique luxury pick for personal service and restaurants on your doorstep. a five-star boutique city hotel in Jeddah’s dining-focused City Yard, scored for what it is.

SHIRVAN is a five-star boutique city hotel, not a beachfront resort, and it looks particularly strong on the essentials: clean rooms, comfortable beds and attentive staff. Booking.com’s 9.3 and Expedia’s 9.4 reinforce the enthusiastic recent Tripadvisor feedback. We’d choose it for a polished Jeddah base with cafés and restaurants immediately outside, rather than sprawling resort facilities.

The main catch is wellness access: the hotel publishes separate men’s and women’s hours Saturday through Thursday, with family access on Fridays. Couples wanting to swim together daily should look elsewhere. Also check for disruption before booking: a July 2026 announcement schedules its Autograph Collection conversion for December 2026, with selected enhancement works while it remains open. Breakfast inclusion needs checking, though guests generally praise Baker & Spice.

• Best for: Business travelers wanting personal service; Couples prioritizing restaurants and city exploring; Travelers who prefer boutique luxury

• Watch out for: Gender-specific wellness hours most days; Confirm disruption from rebranding enhancement works; Breakfast may cost extra

• Location: Al Rawdah’s City Yard puts restaurants and cafés on the doorstep; this is not a waterfront stay.

• Rooms: Modern, comfortable rooms earn strong feedback; the hotel lists Superior rooms at 33–44 square meters.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com ratings and recent Expedia and Tripadvisor feedback.

• Service: Recent guests repeatedly praise welcoming reception staff and attentive restaurant service.

• Amenities: Rooftop pool, gym and spa; official wellness hours separate men and women most days, with Fridays for families.

• Fees and surprises: Expedia lists free self and valet parking; breakfast and extra beds can cost extra. Confirm works before the planned December 2026 rebrand.
