A practical central base with spacious rooms, though some details need attention. A mid-range business hotel on Tahlia Street, scored for what it is.

Novotel Jeddah Tahlia Street is a mid-range business hotel we'd pick for a practical city stay rather than a special occasion. Spacious rooms, a convenient Tahlia Street location and generally good cleanliness underpin positive ratings across Booking.com, Expedia and Tripadvisor. Recent Accor guests also repeatedly praise the staff. The rooftop pool, gym and restaurant give it enough substance for more than an overnight stop.

The finish is less consistent than the basics: recent guests mention rooms needing refreshment, missing bathroom supplies and occasional noise or temperature-control problems. Breakfast usually earns praise, while reception service gets more mixed feedback. We'd skip it for a polished luxury break or a waterfront holiday. For November travel, check directly before booking: Expedia lists a November 6–29 property closure without specifying the year.

• Best for: Business travelers; Short city stays; Families wanting room space

• Watch out for: Some rooms need refreshing; Occasional noise and temperature-control complaints; November 6–29 closure listed; confirm dates

• Location: Useful Tahlia Street base for business and shopping; plan on driving for wider sightseeing.

• Rooms: Generally spacious and comfortable, with some recent complaints about wear and inconsistent supplies.

• Cleanliness: Mostly positive across major sites, despite occasional housekeeping complaints.

• Service: Staff friendliness draws repeated praise, but reception warmth and problem handling vary.

• Amenities: Unheated rooftop pool, gym, spa facilities and restaurant; breakfast is generally well received.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is listed as free; breakfast and airport transfers cost extra. Confirm Expedia's undated November closure.
