Axel's take: 8.6/10

Warm service and comfortable rooms make this a strong city base, with some wellness caveats. a contemporary 5-star city hotel near Tahlia’s shopping district, scored for what it is.

This contemporary 5-star city hotel is a strong pick for business trips and shopping-focused stays. Tripadvisor, Expedia and Accor guests consistently praise welcoming staff, thorough housekeeping and comfortable rooms. Breakfast earns plenty of compliments, while Rasoi’s modern Indian cooking adds a reason to dine in. We’d favor a Superior room for its substantially larger layout over the entry-level Classic.

The main reservation is room climate: several recent guests describe humidity or dampness, and some report frustrating air-conditioning controls or patchy Wi-Fi. These complaints sit within otherwise strong feedback, but matter at this level. The hotel explicitly limits its spa and health club to men; women should confirm current pool access before booking, since published information is inconsistent. Choose it for attentive city-hotel comfort, not an unrestricted couples’ wellness break.

• Best for: business travelers; shopping-focused city breaks; families wanting larger rooms

• Watch out for: recent reports of dampness and awkward AC controls; men-only spa and health club; confirm women’s pool access; occasional patchy room Wi-Fi

• Location: Near Tahlia’s boutiques and Jeddah Mall; a city-shopping base rather than a waterfront retreat.

• Rooms: Classic rooms are 27 square meters; Superior rooms offer a much roomier 45 square meters.

• Cleanliness: Housekeeping receives strong cross-site praise, despite a small recent cluster of damp-room reports.

• Service: Friendly, helpful reception and housekeeping teams are the clearest recurring strength.

• Amenities: Outdoor pool, children’s pool, Rasoi restaurant and rooftop café; spa and health club are men-only.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is complimentary; breakfast depends on the booking, and extra beds and spa treatments cost extra.
