Axel's take: 8.5/10

A strong value pick for roomy family stays, but confirm the pool first. A simple 2-star hotel with spacious rooms and family suites in Al Naseem, scored for what it is.

Jiwar Almasi is a simple 2-star hotel in Al Naseem that looks particularly good for families wanting space rather than luxury. Booking.com and Expedia ratings are consistently strong, while guests across Booking.com and Trip.com repeatedly praise clean, generously sized rooms and helpful staff. We'd shortlist it for a practical Jeddah stay near the shopping malls, especially with a car and free parking.

The extras need more caution than the bedrooms. Guests on more than one platform reported the outdoor pool closed in February 2025; its current availability is unconfirmed, so don't book around swimming without checking directly. Breakfast feedback varies, and step-free access needs verification because elevator information conflicts across listings. We'd skip it for a pool-focused holiday or if guaranteed accessibility is essential.

• Best for: Families wanting larger rooms; Value-conscious travelers with a car; Shopping trips around Al Naseem

• Watch out for: Outdoor pool availability unconfirmed; Conflicting elevator information; Mixed breakfast feedback

• Location: Handy for Al Andalus and Al Salaam malls; better suited to a driving base than an airport stopover.

• Rooms: Spacious studios and suites are a recurring strength; confirm bedding for every booked guest.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall cleanliness ratings, backed by repeated positive guest comments.

• Service: Staff receive frequent praise, though some guests report English-language communication difficulties.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi, restaurant and gym listed; past pool closures mean swimming needs direct confirmation.

• Fees and surprises: Parking is free; breakfast may cost extra, and travelers needing step-free access should verify the full route.
