Axel's take: 8.3/10

Clean rooms and welcoming staff make Charli appealing, but noise needs checking. An independent mid-range city hotel in Al Salamah, scored for what it is.

Charli is an independent mid-range city hotel in Al Salamah, and a strong pick for travelers who prioritize cleanliness and helpful service over resort-style facilities. Booking.com’s roughly 8.8–8.9 overall rating fits the wider picture: guests repeatedly praise comfortable beds, clean rooms and accommodating reception staff. Nearby shops and restaurants add convenience, while free parking helps if you’re exploring Jeddah by car.

The main reservation is noise: guests describe weak sound insulation, and reports through January 2026 mention nearby construction, sometimes overnight. Some rooms are compact, and breakfast gets mixed verdicts. A December 2025 guest reported the pool, sauna and gym closed for renovations; their reopening could not be verified because the official website is under maintenance. We’d request a quieter room and confirm facility availability before booking. Light sleepers and anyone choosing primarily for the pool or gym should look elsewhere unless those concerns are resolved.

• Best for: Business travelers; Couples exploring by car; Travelers prioritizing cleanliness and service

• Watch out for: Weak sound insulation and reported construction noise; Pool, sauna and gym reopening unverified; Some compact rooms

• Location: Al Salamah location near shops and restaurants; a car or taxis help for wider sightseeing.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and generally well-kept rooms; some are small, with weak sound insulation.

• Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Trip.com and Google-derived guest feedback.

• Service: Friendly, accommodating reception and helpful staff are the most consistent highlights.

• Amenities: Free Wi-Fi and parking; verify pool, sauna and gym access after reported renovation closures.

• Fees and surprises: Breakfast inclusion varies by booking; confirm it and the current construction situation directly.
