Axel's take: 8.1/10

A strong family all-inclusive, with shallow seas and neighboring construction to weigh. a family-focused 4-star all-inclusive north of Hurghada, scored for what it is.

Golden Beach is a family-focused 4-star all-inclusive that makes sense for a pool-and-beach holiday rather than luxury or exploring Hurghada on foot. We'd shortlist it for its extensive pools, water slides and well-kept gardens. Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise cleanliness and helpful staff, while recent Hotels.com guests generally like the food. The overall picture is of a resort that delivers well for its class.

The trade-offs matter: some rooms show their age, drinks are basic, and the shallow, tidal sea suits paddling better than effortless swimming. More importantly, the hotel confirmed neighboring hotel construction scheduled through March 2027; ask which rooms face it before booking. We'd skip it for a reliably quiet escape or polished dining, but families prioritizing activities and good value have plenty to like.

Best for: families who love pools and slides; value-minded all-inclusive travelers; holidaymakers happy staying on site
Watch out for: neighboring hotel construction scheduled through March 2027; shallow, tidal sea; older rooms and basic drinks
Location: Beachfront northwest of Hurghada, roughly 15 km from the center; better for resort days than city exploring.
Rooms: Generally spacious, but some guests describe older interiors; check the exact room category and outlook.
Cleanliness: A consistent strength across Booking.com, Tripadvisor and recent loveholidays feedback.
Service: Friendly, helpful staff receive repeated praise across several guest-review sites.
Amenities: Water park, multiple pools, adults-only pool, kids' club, gym and spa offer plenty on site.
Fees and surprises: Confirm Wi-Fi charges: an April 2026 hotel response says only lobby access is free. The supplied website belongs to The Grand Resort, a different hotel.
