Axel's take: 7.6/10

A practical Greenway Plaza base, with friendly staff but uneven upkeep. A full-service 4-star business hotel in Greenway Plaza, scored for what it is.

This full-service 4-star business hotel is a good pick for Greenway Plaza meetings or Lakewood Church, rather than a polished Houston getaway. Recent Expedia guests repeatedly praise clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff; Tripadvisor feedback also highlights welcoming service. Skyline views, a heated outdoor pool and Hilton’s complimentary three-mile shuttle add appeal.

The trade-offs are aging interiors and inconsistent maintenance. Across review sites, guests describe worn fixtures, occasional bathroom problems and confusing garage access. Escalators were still reported out of service in September 2026, following management’s February announcement of elevator and escalator upgrades; check their status if stairs are difficult. Parking and breakfast cost extra, and management has acknowledged an afternoon gap in meal service. We’d choose it for a convenient business stay, but skip it if fresh rooms and seamless four-star upkeep are priorities.

• Best for: Greenway Plaza business travelers; Lakewood Church visitors; Travelers using the local shuttle

• Watch out for: Dated interiors and uneven maintenance; Confusing garage access and escalator outages; Paid parking and breakfast

• Location: Convenient for Greenway Plaza and Lakewood Church; Hilton advertises a complimentary three-mile shuttle.

• Rooms: Comfortable beds and skyline views earn praise, but worn fixtures and bathroom maintenance recur in complaints.

• Cleanliness: Generally praised on Expedia, with some recent bathroom and housekeeping lapses reported elsewhere.

• Service: Friendly, helpful staff are a consistent strength, though problem handling is less reliable.

• Amenities: Heated outdoor pool, 24-hour gym, restaurant, bar and Starbucks; confirm afternoon meal-service hours.

• Fees and surprises: Parking and buffet breakfast cost extra; confirm elevator and escalator availability before arrival.
