Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the welcoming staff, spacious rooms and relaxed beach setting; recent Expedia reviews also single out meticulous housekeeping. Its appeal is traditional Hawaiian hospitality rather than cutting-edge design, backed by a pool, spa, fitness facilities and several restaurants.

The trade-off is separation from Honolulu's walkable dining and nightlife: expect to use transport for most outings. Some recent Tripadvisor and Booking.com guests describe aging interiors, although overall comfort and cleanliness ratings remain strong. There's no resort fee, but parking costs extra.
