#7 of 9 hotels in Pham Ngu Lao & Bui Vien by Axel's take. Pham Ngu Lao & Bui Vien is #3 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in Pham Ngu Lao & Bui Vien, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City

Axel's take: 7.8/10

A friendly budget base near the nightlife, with basic rooms and variable quiet. a simple, family-run budget guesthouse just off Bui Vien, scored for what it is.

Quang Saigon is a simple, family-run budget guesthouse tucked down a lane off Bui Vien, and it's a good pick for travelers prioritizing location and helpful hosts over facilities. Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the owners and cleanliness; reviews from early 2026 remain encouraging on both counts. Restaurants, nightlife and Ben Thanh Market are within easy walking reach. We'd choose it for a short, inexpensive city stay.

The trade-off is modest comfort rather than much to do at the property. Rooms are straightforward, and guest accounts differ on how much club noise reaches them: the lane helps, but doesn't guarantee silence. Ask specifically about an outward-facing window and a quieter room. Lift information also conflicts across booking sites, so confirm access if stairs matter. We'd skip it for a restful retreat or a facilities-led family holiday.

Best for: budget-conscious city explorers; travelers wanting Bui Vien nightlife; short stays with a local guesthouse feel
Watch out for: variable late-night club noise; basic rooms and limited facilities; conflicting lift information
Location: Lane off Bui Vien, close to restaurants, nightlife and Ben Thanh Market.
Rooms: Simple air-conditioned rooms with private bathrooms; confirm window outlook before booking.
Cleanliness: Generally positive across sources, including early-2026 reviews, though not uniformly praised.
Service: Friendly, accommodating owners are the most consistent strength in guest feedback.
Amenities: Wi-Fi, refrigerators, laundry and tour assistance; Booking.com lists a lift, while Expedia says none.
Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; no onsite parking. The supplied website belongs to a different hotel at 40/27.
