#6 of 9 hotels in District 3 & Tan Dinh by Axel's take. District 3 & Tan Dinh is #4 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in District 3 & Tan Dinh, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City

Axel's take: 8.6/10

A dependable city base with standout staff and breakfast, but modest standard rooms. a full-service 4-star business hotel near District 1, scored for what it is.

Novotel Saigon Centre is a full-service 4-star business hotel on the District 3 side of central Saigon, and a strong pick for comfortable, straightforward city stays. Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests consistently praise cleanliness, helpful staff and the varied breakfast buffet. Recent feedback remains positive, and management confirmed refreshed rooms in a 2026 Tripadvisor response. We'd choose it for dependable comfort and easy access to the central sights rather than boutique character.

The main compromise is space: standard rooms start at 27 square metres, and several guests find them tight when sharing with children. The pool is on the third floor, not the rooftop; skyline views come from the OnTop bar instead. Check whether breakfast and lounge access are included. We'd skip it if generous family accommodation or a resort-style pool is the priority.

  • Best for: business travelers; couples on sightseeing breaks; travelers who prioritize breakfast and service

  • Watch out for: standard rooms can feel tight for families; third-floor pool, not a rooftop pool; breakfast and lounge access depend on booking

  • Location: Near the District 1 boundary; the Central Post Office and other major sights are walkable.

  • Rooms: Standard rooms start at 27 square metres; recent feedback praises comfort, with some complaints about limited space.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across guest-review sites, including recent Expedia feedback.

  • Service: Warm, helpful staff are repeatedly praised, including in October 2026 Accor reviews.

  • Amenities: Third-floor pool, gym, spa, buffet restaurant and 20th-floor OnTop bar.

  • Fees and surprises: Breakfast may cost extra; transfers, spa treatments and rollaway beds carry additional charges.
