#3 of 9 hotels in Ben Thanh Market by Axel's take. Ben Thanh Market is #1 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in Ben Thanh Market, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City
Axel's take: 8.8/10
Warm service and a central location outweigh some aging bathroom details. a full-service five-star city hotel near Ben Thanh Market, scored for what it is.
New World Saigon is a full-service five-star city hotel, and we'd pick it for attentive service and easy access to Ben Thanh Market rather than cutting-edge luxury. Recent Tripadvisor, Booking.com and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the staff, cleanliness and breakfast. The outdoor pool and well-equipped gym strengthen the package, while Residence Club guests are particularly enthusiastic about the lounge and its team.
The main compromise is that the bathrooms don't always match the rest of the experience: several guests describe older fittings, and some rooms have showers over bathtubs. Entry-level Premier rooms are also a fairly modest 29 square metres. Noise reports are mixed rather than universal, but light sleepers should request a quieter room. We'd skip it if a spacious room, contemporary bathroom or guaranteed walk-in shower is essential.
-
