#4 of 9 hotels in District 3 & Tan Dinh by Axel's take. District 3 & Tan Dinh is #4 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in District 3 & Tan Dinh, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City
Axel's take: 8.8/10
Strong service and distinctive style, with noise the main compromise. a five-star, art-focused boutique-style city hotel, scored for what it is.
Hôtel des Arts Saigon is a five-star, boutique-style city hotel we'd pick for character and attentive service rather than sprawling luxury. Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the staff, cleanliness and breakfast, while the rooftop pool and Social Club bar give it an appealing social side. Its location makes sightseeing on foot practical, and the French-Indochinese interiors distinguish it from more conventional business hotels.
The main compromise is quiet. Guests report rooftop and neighboring nightlife noise, and October 2026 reviews confirm construction across the street. Standard rooms are around 30 square meters: comfortable for a city stay, but not especially generous at this level. The hotel also acknowledged steam-room maintenance in early October; check availability before booking. It's a strong choice for couples and design-minded sightseers; we'd skip it if undisturbed sleep is your overriding priority.
