#2 of 9 hotels in Pham Ngu Lao & Bui Vien by Axel's take. Pham Ngu Lao & Bui Vien is #3 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in Pham Ngu Lao & Bui Vien, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City

Axel's take: 9.0/10

Spacious suites and standout service make this a strong District 1 pick. a design-led 4-star suite hotel in District 1, scored for what it is.

Fusion Suites Saigon is a design-led 4-star hotel that gets the important things right: comfortable suites, excellent housekeeping and genuinely attentive service. Recent Tripadvisor and Expedia guests repeatedly praise the warm staff, generous room sizes and breakfast, while Booking.com scores cleanliness and comfort especially highly. The pale-wood interiors feel distinctive without being fussy, and the quieter District 1 street puts cafés, restaurants and Ben Thanh Market within walking reach. It's a strong pick for city exploring without sacrificing room to unwind.

The main omission is a swimming pool. Choose carefully, too: the smaller double rooms have no windows, unlike the brighter suites featured prominently in photos. Check whether breakfast and spa treatments are included in your booking rather than assuming both come standard. We'd skip it if pool time is essential, but otherwise it's an unusually convincing city base.

  • Best for: couples exploring District 1; families booking bunk-bed suites; travelers prioritizing space and service

  • Watch out for: no swimming pool; some double rooms have no windows; breakfast and spa inclusions vary by booking

  • Location: Quieter District 1 street near Tao Dan Park; roughly a 15-minute walk to Ben Thanh Market.

  • Rooms: Warm minimalist suites with kitchenettes; smaller windowless doubles require careful selection.

  • Cleanliness: A consistent strength across sites, with recent guests praising meticulous housekeeping.

  • Service: Warm, proactive staff receive unusually consistent praise across recent reviews.

  • Amenities: Restaurant, spa, gym and sauna, but no swimming pool.

  • Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; confirm breakfast and spa-treatment inclusions before booking.
