#1 of 9 hotels in Dong Khoi & Nguyen Hue by Axel's take. Dong Khoi & Nguyen Hue is #2 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in Dong Khoi & Nguyen Hue, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City
Axel's take: 8.9/10
A strong central pick for stylish rooms, shopping convenience and consistently praised cleanliness. a design-led five-star city hotel above a District 1 shopping mall, scored for what it is.
Fusion Original is a design-led five-star above Saigon Centre mall, and we'd pick it for a comfortable city break rather than a full resort experience. Its District 1 location puts shopping, restaurants and major sights within easy reach. Recent Expedia, Booking.com and Tripadvisor guests repeatedly praise the clean rooms, comfortable beds and helpful staff. City views, the sixth-floor outdoor pool and help-yourself floor pantries add substance to the styling.
The trade-off is a hotel integrated into a busy commercial complex, not a secluded luxury retreat. Breakfast feedback is less consistent than room feedback, and some guests report uneven handling of booking or inclusion questions. Confirm breakfast before arrival. The hotel now advertises a 15th-floor gym, supported by an August 2026 guest review, so older reports of unavailable gym access appear outdated. We'd skip it for extensive wellness facilities or traditional grand-hotel atmosphere.
-

-

-
Amenities: Sixth-floor outdoor pool, Miss Thu restaurant, floor pantries and an officially listed 15th-floor gym.
-
