#8 of 9 hotels in Ben Thanh Market by Axel's take. Ben Thanh Market is #1 of 6 places to stay in Ho Chi Minh City. The best hotels in Ben Thanh Market, ranked · Where to stay in Ho Chi Minh City
Axel's take: 6.6/10
Central and often friendly, but room condition and noise make this a cautious pick. a modest mid-range city hotel in District 1, scored for what it is.
Cicilia Saigon Center is a modest mid-range city hotel whose strongest asset is its District 1 location, within walking distance of Ben Thanh Market and plenty of places to eat. We'd consider it for a short, sightseeing-heavy stay rather than time spent relaxing indoors. Tripadvisor and Trip.com guests often praise helpful reception staff, and some report comfortable, clean rooms; others describe tired furnishings and unreliable bathroom fittings.
The inconsistency matters: Expedia and Trip.com reviews repeat concerns about traffic noise, maintenance and uneven housekeeping, while breakfast draws mixed reactions. Guests also reported renovation noise and construction fumes in May–June 2026; completion could not be verified, so ask before booking. Confirm whether your exact room has an exterior window or balcony. We'd skip it for light sleepers or anyone expecting polished four-star comfort.
-
