#2 of 7 hotels in West Lake (Tay Ho) by Axel's take. West Lake (Tay Ho) is #4 of 5 places to stay in Hanoi. The best hotels in West Lake (Tay Ho), ranked · Where to stay in Hanoi

Axel's take: 8.8/10

A strong choice for apartment space and helpful service, away from Old Quarter bustle. a practical mid-range aparthotel near West Lake, scored for what it is.

Vnahomes is a practical mid-range aparthotel near West Lake, and we'd pick it for longer stays rather than doorstep sightseeing. Spacious accommodation, kitchens and laundry facilities make it good value for travelers who want some independence. Booking.com, Expedia and Trip.com guests consistently praise the helpful staff and generally clean rooms; recent feedback supports those strengths rather than just the hotel's promotional claims.

The main compromise is location: expect rides to the Old Quarter rather than walking out into its attractions. Several Trip.com guests find breakfast limited or repetitive, and the gym is small with minimal equipment. Some guests also describe firm beds, though others find them comfortable. It's a strong fit for families and self-catering stays; we'd skip it for a short sightseeing trip where being central matters most.

  • Best for: longer self-catering stays; families wanting apartment space; travelers preferring the West Lake area

  • Watch out for: rides needed for Old Quarter sightseeing; limited breakfast variety; small, minimally equipped gym

  • Location: Near West Lake, with local food options; less convenient for walking to central sights.

  • Rooms: Spacious suites and apartments with kitchens and laundry facilities; bed firmness divides opinion.

  • Cleanliness: Strong ratings across booking sites, with occasional exceptions rather than a widespread problem.

  • Service: Friendly, accommodating staff are the most consistent strength across recent reviews.

  • Amenities: Free Wi-Fi and a small gym; breakfast receives mixed feedback for variety.

  • Fees and surprises: Airport transfers cost extra; early check-in and late checkout may incur fees.
