Axel's take: 8.0/10

A solid airport stopover, provided the limited shuttle schedule fits your plans. a no-frills airport hotel geared to short stays and cruise stopovers, scored for what it is.

This no-frills airport hotel is a strong pick for a night before a flight or cruise, rather than a Fort Lauderdale vacation base. Expedia and Trip.com guests commonly praise comfortable beds, clean rooms and helpful staff, although Tripadvisor feedback is more mixed. Free breakfast, parking during your stay, an outdoor pool and a gym make it a useful package for a simple hotel.

The biggest catch is transportation: IHG lists only four airport pickups and three airport drop-offs daily, with cruise transfers arranged separately. Recent Tripadvisor and Trip.com reviews also flag uneven housekeeping and some premature wear, despite broadly positive cleanliness ratings elsewhere. We'd choose it for a practical overnight, but skip it for a walkable beach break or an early flight that depends on a free shuttle.

• Best for: pre-cruise overnight stays; airport stopovers with flexible transfer plans; drivers seeking simple accommodation

• Watch out for: limited scheduled airport shuttle; uneven housekeeping and room wear; no long-term cruise parking

• Location: Convenient for FLL, I-95 and Port Everglades; beaches and main visitor areas require transportation.

• Rooms: Simple rooms with frequently praised beds, though some recent guests report worn fixtures.

• Cleanliness: Strong overall ratings, tempered by repeated housekeeping misses on Tripadvisor and Trip.com.

• Service: Helpful front-desk staff are a recurring strength, although experiences are not uniformly positive.

• Amenities: Free breakfast, Wi-Fi and parking during your stay, plus an outdoor pool and gym.

• Fees and surprises: Airport shuttle is scheduled, not on demand; cruise transfers are separate and long-term parking is prohibited.
